GasMath ("we", "us") helps you find the most cost-effective gas station for your situation. This policy explains what data the app handles. The guiding principle is simple: GasMath has no user accounts and stores no personal data on its servers.
Your preferences — your vehicle, warehouse-club membership, Top Tier preference, and fuel-grade choice — plus minor interface state such as which tips you've dismissed, are saved only in your browser's local storage, on your device. They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers, and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
When you ask GasMath to find a station, your browser requests your location with your permission. Your coordinates are sent to our serverless function, which forwards them to Google (to find nearby stations and prices) and to OpenRouteService (to calculate driving distance from you) for that single request. We do not store your location or associate it with any identity, and our function keeps no log of it. You can decline or revoke the location permission in your browser at any time.
We rely on these providers to answer your query:
GasMath sets no cookies of its own — your preferences live in local storage, not cookies. The only cookies that may be set are Google Analytics' own, and only if analytics is enabled (see above).
No accounts, no advertising profiles, no selling of data, no server-side storage of your preferences or location.
GasMath is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
